Do it more

"Do it more" is an independent campaign set up to try to increase participation in the democratic process. The campaign believes that democracy should be about more than voting once every 5 years, and that the wider public should be encouraged to participate more directly in the government's policy and legislative processes leading to a better run country.

The first part of the campaign will feature a public consultation aimed at finding out people's:

• attitudes towards participating in democracy
• thoughts on what might be done to change attitudes to participation

Once evidence is collected, the consultation findings will then be presented to key decision makers in this field to help shape future policy and thinking. An information and communications campaign will then follow.
